Shoot Basketballs NOT People is a 501(c) non profit organization aimed at improving the quality of life for inner city youth through basketball and education.


All-Academic Invitational

The highlight of the high school season, the All-Academic Invitational is one of the region's most exciting showcase for Philadelphia and Columbus, Ohio high school basketball players. This showcase will feature 80 of the top student-athletes from schools in Philadelphia and Columbus, Ohio. There will be four games displaying the top freshmen, sophomores , juniors, and seniors. These players exhibit great character on and off the court while maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.



The partnership will use basketball clinics and workshops, after school program, and develop life skills to increase awareness and bring solutions to issues such as bullying, sexual orientation, mental & physical abuse, and the most violent Philadelphia neighborhoods.



This tournament will feature the top 14 & under teams and players in the Philadelphia region.


President's Day Clinic

The rate of senseless crime in the City of Akron is steadily increasing at an alarming rate. Not only is it affecting the families of victims, but consequently our communities and the children who live there. With cuts in educational programming and other extracurricular activities, our children have less access to opportunities that promote sense of community, active engagement and social responsibility. Shoot Basketballs Not People in collaboration with the Kenmore Youth Basketball League, Essentials Basketball Academy, MKU Athletics and the Young Black Professionals Coalition (YBPC) host a Free Basketball Clinic for 200+ youth in Akron, Ohio.

Push For Peace

This event focuses on bridging the communication gap between law enforcement and the inner city youth by hosting a series of basketball games where the law enforcement officials play against the inner city youth.
